UPDATED!!! CONVENTION REPORT!!!

The 2005 Robotech Convention Tour made its European debut at the London Movie Comic and Media Expo on May 14th and 15th at the ExCel Convention Center on the Royal Victoria Dock in London! All-around Robotech guy Tom Bateman and veteran Robotech voice actor Richard Epcar were on hand to meet fans and host panels discussing all things Robotech, including an exclusive sneak preview of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles!

Over 10,000 fans attended the London Expo over the May 14-15 weekend for one of the largest conventions ever seen in the United Kingdom and Europe. Guests included Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), Erica Durance (Smallville) and Teryl Rothery (Stargate SG-1). New at this Expo was the Anime Village, which featured a heavy presence by Harmony Gold's latest licensee, Manga UK, which will be releasing ROBOTECH in the United Kingdom on DVD for the first time ever!

Even though ROBOTECH hadn't been shown on British television in over 10 years, the flow of fans to the ROBOTECH booth (generously provided by Manga UK and London Expo) was neverending. Richard Epcar did four autograph signings over the weekend to meet the demand of signing the special ROBOTECH posters that Manga UK printed just for the occasion to celebrate their launch of ROBOTECH.

ROBOTECH fans at the Saturday panel were able to catch an exclusive preview of the upcoming ROBOTECH - The Shadow Chronicles. Fans were treated to some exciting test animation and CGI animatics from the upcoming video feature. Also, Iona Morris (the voice of ROBOTECH's Claudia Grant and X-Men's Storm) is confirmed on the cast of the upcoming ROBOTECH: The Shadow Chronicles as Dr. Jean Grant!

As ROBOTECH.COM's first convention journey outside the United States, London Expo was an incredible and memorable experience! We look forward to seeing you all again, VERY SOON!!!
