DESCRIPTION:

Tom still remembers March 4, 1985 vividly, for it was the day that Robotech premiered in the Los Angeles area. "After seeing all those other watered-down, overblown toy commercials, I was hungry for a show that had some real meat in it. That first 90-minute special Codename: Robotech just blew me away!"

Tom dove into the world of Robotech by visiting the Carl Macek Gallery, a comic store down in Orange, CA where he and his brother would pick Carl's brain for tidbits about upcoming episodes. After several years of drifting in and out of anime fandom, Tom organized the Robocon 10 convention in 1995, celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the show. The convention featured over a dozen of the show's staff and cast. He was also arrangement coordinator and worked alongside the original composers to help produce the Robotech Perfect Soundtrack Album. His other anime interests are collecting anime books and watching Ranma, Mobile Suit Gundam (the UC stuff) and other early to mid-Eighties mecha shows. His favorite mecha designers are Hajime Katoki, Hideki Kakinuma, Yutaka Izubuchi and Shoji Kawamori. His favorite character designers are Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Haruhiko Mikimoto.

Tom has contributed greatly to early sections of the Robotech Infopedia.
