Hello Everyone,
The first ad for the upcoming 1/100 scale Zentraedi Tactical Battlepod, marking Toynami's steps into Robotech villain territory. The battlepods are presently being produced to arrive in stores this spring.

I will only buy this on 2 conditions
1.If it is made for Robotech with the name Robotech on the box and stickers and instructions.
2. If it arrives on time.They lucked out by not providing a date but no doubt Toynami might make it later than spring.
Lets hope this one does not fall over alot. | |

It doesn't look like the hatch opens at all. Is there anything about what the features might be?
The neat thing about most of RT's villains is that they don't transform, so lots more features can be put into a given model. I was hoping for an opening hatch, a Zentraedi figure inside the cockpit, and parts so that you could shift to a different battlepod type, like Lt or Heavy Artillery, Scout, etc. | |

If they have swappable parts I'd buy like 5 or 6 of these, as I'm sure many would. It would be foolish not to include such a feature.

The scale should be 1:72 not 1:100 I want it to match my Masterpiece!!! I am sure these are a "lets test the waters with a cheep Vinyl molded toy to see how much they buy". I tell you right now you make these Masterpiece models they will sell better as you could have the features we want like an opening hatch and Zentradi solder inside and give the Pod interchangeable parts or better yet (now don't hate me) sell the interchangeable parts as an upgrade kit like you did with the super armor for the VF series. But I stres the Key word here is "MASTERPIECE!!!" | |

The 1:72 scale would be awesome but it would be gigantic meaning the cost would be gigantic too and they'd have to have a ton of special features to even try to justify another $200 range toy. It actually makes more sense to keep it at 1:100 since they've been making the Macross 1:100 valkyrie line and it's probably way cheaper and easier to produce this scale. Probably also easier for them to make a quick buck too. Hoefullly we'll see more though... | |
